A dream come true, for us here at the Accidental Tourist:
No, I take that back: TWO DREAMS COME TRUE!
One: two Accidental Tourists – Natalie Wetherington and Hans Hilton – in some convention center on the other side of the Oceans from Florence, randomly meet and identify each other. And they send me a picture to prove it!
Two: (the prequel, where the story begins):
an Accidental Tourist cooking class in october, right here in my kitchen. Two couples participate, unknown to each other – Matt and Jody, Hans and Francine.
Once done working at the pasta making, we sit at the table for a hearty lunch. Matt and Jodie share they fun story about Matt’s unusual proposal (Matt and Jody, if you read this, wanna tell your story?).
Hans, who has been talkative all the way through the cooking action, is keeping quiet…
Suddenly, he hands his IPhone over to Matt and says “would you please record what I am about to do?”; get’s on his knee, takes a small box out of his back pocket, opens it to show a diamond the size or a greek olive, and starts his speech to a totally bewildered Francine…(aw come on, Francine, didn’t you see it coming just a little bit..?).
And the crowd goes wild!
