Description
THE OBJECT:
This set of Sterling silver comes from my Swedish side of the family. It includes 6 forks and 6 knives. Knife blades also silver.
THE CHAPERON:
A vintage linen napkin or towel.
THE STORY:
My family had so much beautiful houseware, that I was given this set as a child, to play with, with the recommendation to take good care of it.
At that time I was reading “Mio, my son”, by Astrid Lingren. In the beautiful story (still one of my favorites) there was a magic spoon that Mio was given by an old lady with magical powers, that would fill with the most delicious food in time of need.
50 years later, I can say I did take good care of this set, and that IT is staying true to the magical powers I imagined as a child, by bringing some food on our table. I am sure it will do the same to your table.
The price is based on official market price of silver, by weight.
