Give us an hour and Sleep in a Tower

Our own version of Fair Trade:
Many years ago, on my first visit to the USA from Florence, I remember a piece of bumper-sticker wisdom that I have never forgotten:

Life comes in CANs, not in CAN’ts

In times of economic difficulties worldwide, we still believe that travelling should come in a CAN.
Because we are unable to help with airfare, we want to offer you hospitality:

Give us two hours of your time;
we'll give you one night in a Tuscan medieval tower ... yes, the one in the picture. (Applicable to more nights).

It doesn't matter if you are a lawyer or a welder, a secretary or an aerobic instructor, a comedian or a doctor:
to the Accidental Tourist, your time is equally worthy.

Here is how it works:

  • check out our tower apartment.
(Like it? We thought so... )
  • Tell us about you:
Are you a painter? Paint us a room. Are you a photographer? Take our family picture.
Are you a writer? Write a piece about our home. Are you a musician? Give us a private concert, we’ll invite friends over for dinner.
Are you a secretary? Teach us a useful program on the computer. A carpenter? Help us finish up our deck.
A cook? A masseuse? A Gardener? All skills are useful.
  • Also tell us when you'd like to come, and for how many nights.
  • We'll arrange details, and make definitive plans.
  • You won't forget the experience!

The catch:

We can only offer this Trade to Accidental Tourists.

Because Italy has the most expensive electric and water supply in Europe, we ask that you pay a contribution of 10€ per day, towards utilities and linens.

Life comes in can's not in can'ts
