Planning your stay: We will put together a plan to suite your needs. Are you an art avid pair at their 10th visit to Tuscany? Or two lovebirds who have never left home, on their honeymoon? A family with children of different ages? Are you looking to taste 150 different types of Chianti or want to get a whole new Gucci wardrobe?
Please tell us about you and your preferences, curiosities and expectations from your stay in Tuscany. Not only can you visit Florence on foot or by bicycle, appreciate the architectonic perfection of Arezzo, the stunning beauty of Siena, our romantic Chianti with its endless wines, the medieval mystery of Gubbio and Perugia; but also go wine tasting, outlet shopping, food shopping; see old sanctuaries, try cooking classes, explore antique markets, you name it.
As long as it is authentic, we can put in your plan. Of course we have a million ideas for you, if you are open to suggestions.
Picking you up: Angelo will come fetch you at the airport with the rental car that you will rent directly from home, so you can choose the best model and package for you, and forget about picking up the car and driving on your first day here, all jet-lagged and tired from the trip.
Getting you settled: Again, you choose your preferred accommodation, and pay directly. May we suggest a stay out of the pricy, crowded and touristy city of Florence. The apartment we have in mind is located in the historic heart of San Giovanni, a little town with a very authentic, unspoiled character, just outside of Florence. The stay here as an Accidental Tourist Member includes a 10% discount plus a little edible gift at your arrival…
From San Giovanni, a frequent and short train ride can get you to Firenze, (25 min.) Arezzo (35 min.) and Siena (70 min).
Briefing you: Every morning (but only if and when you want him to!), Angelo will meet you at the café’ in the town square for breakfast and brief you for the day. He’ll recommend whether to drive the car or catch the train, ride a bike or walk; will hand you a map or a navigator with the itinerary for the day; suggest where to stop for lunch or enjoy a glass of good red; where to dine al fresco while enjoying a concert; will keep you informed of every street fair or cultural event; he will be your own personal box office.
Keeping you in contact: we will supply you with a mobile phone, with a 10€ credit. This way, you can always call Angelo from wherever you are for any question, or emergency. If you’d like to use that phone for other calls, you will simply add more credit to it, and use it as much as you wish.
You are one of us!: this package also includes one Accidental Tourist membership fee per person, which means you get a discount on any and all Accidental Tourist activities! (see www.accidentaltourist.com/menu.html )
You will be asked to pay a deposit when you make your definitive reservation. Balance is due in cash during your stay.
