DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE BIKE RIDE? |

It has been rated 6/7 on a scale of
10 by a few guests. The terrain is mostly dirt paths, there are often
uphills and downhills. The total length of the route is approx 6 miles
(10 km). The pace is very relaxed, with frequent stops. If you are
ready for a day of excercise and adventure, you don't need to be an
expert mountain biker to thoughroughly enjoy this ride! |

TOTAL TRAVELLING TIME OF THE TOUR? |

Full day tours:
Florence to winery: 45 minutes, winery to farmhouse: 20 minutes,
farmhouse to Florence: 30 minutes.
Half day tours:
Florence to winery: 45 minutes (scenic route), winery to Florence:
30 minutes (direct route).

Our meal is infact mostly vegetarian.The
menu varies daily according to what is freshest. Just ask your guide
to point out which if any dish contains meat.You will have a plentyful
meal anyway! |

Wear what is most confortable. According
to weather, bring sunscreen or a windbreaker (we have a few extras
for you in case you forget). Any excess clothing you bring can be
left in the support van. |

We meet at 9:25 and leave at 9:30 on
the van that will take us to our starting point in the countryside,
approx. 25' minutes away from town. Directions to the pick up point
will come with your confirmation when you use the "reserve a
tour" form. |

OF TRAFFIC ALONG THE RIDE, ESPECIALLY FOR CHILDREN? |

Our itinerary for both bike and walk
tour are on country dirt roads, so the traffic is none. |

THE WALK AND THE COOKING CLASS ON THE SAME DAY? |

They are 2 different activities, so
you will have to choose.
However, keep in mind that:
- Our activities have many parts in common, so different family members
can join two different excursions and still have wine-tasting and
lunch together (please inquire).
- There is some walking involved in the cooking class, if you wish. |

Basically, none. Only on the day you
actually join your excursion, you will be required to fill in and
sign a Membership application form (for details see Become a Member

and at the end of the excursion, you will be charged the excursion
fee (but only if you have thoroughly enjoyed yourself!) |

If you are driving from out of Florence,
it is not necessary that you come to us at our city meeting point:
you can meet us just outside the A1 toll highway exit. For detailed
directions and times, please specify on the SPECIAL REQUEST field

WE WILL BE TRAVELLING
TO FLORENCE BY TRAIN. HOW DO WE MEET YOU FROM THE TRAIN STATION? |

Choose the station exit to the right
down the stairs, catch the number 23 bus, get off at first stop after
crossing the river.
Bus ride: about 20 minutes;
Bus frequency about 10 minutes;
Bus tickets can be purchased at the train station or on the bus if
you have change. |

The area is called CHIANTI RUFINA,
about 30 minutes driving South East from Florence. The winery is located
on the hills overlooking the town of Pontassieve. |
